Amazon launches aStore (Beta, of course)

From their description: aStore by Amazon is a new Associates product that gives you the power to create a professional online store, in minutes and without the need for programming skills, that can be embedded within or linked to from your website. I threw up a quick test here. Not bad. It was very easy to setup, and looks pretty good. If you have an Amazon account you can find it in the associates central.

The problem with Pandora and Last.fm

I love the new social music services like Pandora and Last.fm (former Audioscrobbler). If you do not know what they’re about the concept is pretty easy – they are personalized radio stations that you listen to via the web. Unlike traditional radio stations they have the ability to ‘learn’ what kind of music you like, based on what you tag as good music and what others with the same music taste as you enjoy.

Wow, finally back in … #2

At last, you can google me (hope I don’t get sued for using Google as a verb) and find bie.no in the index. Let’s hope it’s not temporarily this time. One strange thing though, they didn’t adhere to my robots.txt file which tells them not to index odp.php – heck, they even threw robots.txt right in there with the rest of the search results. Well, as long as I’m in the index I don’t care much :)

Wee, going to Croatia!

I just called my local travel agency and got a trip to Croatia this Saturnday. Talk about being late ;) .. I’m really looking forward to two weeks in the sun, just my girlfriend and I. And hopefully we’ll meet some interesting people to have a party or two with. I’m not sure where we’ll get a hotel yet, but we’re flying to Split, so it will be in the south.

Google changes 'reinclusion request'

If you’ve been banned from Google for whatever reason you want to do a reinclusion request. I’ve previously used Matt Cutt’s tutorial, however it seems Google has changed the way one does this. The link Matt mention is no longer there. The new way is to do it here, from “My Sites”. Yes, that means you will have to have registed your site there first. You’ll also have to agree that your “site has violated Google’s quality guidelines” and that you’ve made changes.
